We are just 30 minutes to the Lake District and 2 miles to M6,which offers great access to explore the N.W. We allow 2 well-behaved small/medium dogs.

Long Fall Bothy is a gorgeous stone building on the outskirts of Marsden village in West Yorkshire. Perfect for a walking holiday, the Kirklees Way passes the property and the Pennine Way, Oldham Way are close by. A great place for mountain biking with the Transpennine Trail a few miles away and lots of cycle paths/trails on your doorstep. Local real ale pubs and plenty of cafes in Marsden village a short walk (15 minutes) along the canal. Beautiful scenery, views from the cottage are amazing.

The Chicken Shed at Knowle Top

The Chicken Shed at Knowle Top was newly built in 2019 on the ruins of an old barn and decorated to the highest standards of industrial chic. Situated in a most unique location, high on the Ribble Valley side of Lancashire’s iconic Pendle Hill, it sits surrounded by sheep pastures where hare and fox come to say good-night. Walks from the village allow you to saunter along the banks of the river lune or through the picturesque Burton and Lawson woods belonging to the woodlands trust often known as Aughton woods. Aughton also has an beautiful old village church going back to 1864 and a recreation hall and children's play area.
