On Strawberry Creek in Idyllwild's historic district, the Owl Pine Guest Cabin was built in 1922. It's the best of both worlds w/ plenty of nature (burbling creek, rock paths, trees, birds, mountain air, stars) + close to civilization (the property is near restaurants/shops). Native rock fireplace, hot tub, eclectic art, record collection/player, games, books, TV, Wifi, BBQ, fire pit hang deck. We have a chicken coop, happy to leave eggs at the cabin upon request. A true nature lovers dream, find yourself relaxing on the expansive deck while enjoying stunning mountain sunsets! Cozy up to the warm fire pit while delighting in bird watching during the day & stargazing at night. The spiral staircase leads to our favorite feature, the loft bedroom with picture windows & treetop views!

This DOG FRIENDLY south PS private Studio casita features a view of Mt San Jacinto from your two private patios where you can enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon cocktails and is easily accessible to rte 111 and minutes from the airport, golf courses and downtown. There is a 12.5% Transient Occupancy Tax that is collected a few days prior to our guests check in date if you booked prior to January 14, 2026-it will come in the form of a "request payment" PS City ID# of PS 3959 & TOT ID# 8346.

Within walking distance from the center of town, it's perfectly situated on a quiet street amongst the trees, buzzing with blue jays and hummingbirds. Curl up by the fireplace and enjoy surround-sound tunes, or have a spa-like soak after hitting the nearby trails. As a creative couple ourselves, we designed this space for romantic getaways and creative retreats.
