Cornwall, Inglaterra, Reino Unido

We are situated in the heart of Mid Cornwall, which means our visitors can easily access the whole of the County with its numerous attractions. We have listed a few of these below but there are far too many to mention all

Fowey is only 5 miles away and is steeped in history. It offers a port, an outstanding natural harbour, narrow cobbled streets, fine Medieval and Tudor cottages and superb eating houses. You can take a boat trip from the harbour, or enjoy the many fairs, festivals and regattas that take place throughout the year. Or why not just laze around and enjoy the beautiful views over the estuary?

The Eden Project

The awe-inspiring biomes of Eden are just 3 miles away and are very popular with visitors and locals alike. Special events are staged throughout the year and change from season to season, from Winter ice skating to Summer outdoor concerts, all year round exhibitions spectacular landscaping and displays – not to mention the plants! Eden is still evolving.

The small port of Charleston was completed in 1795 by a local entrepreneur, Charles Rashleigh and has hardly changed
since. The harbour has a Square Sail Shipyard whose tall ships are often moored there. Just by the harbour is the Shipwreck and Heritage Centre, which is also worth a visit, as is the Rashleigh Arms to quench thirst and satisfy hunger.

Pine Lodge gardens

A delightful privately owned gardens only 4 miles away and worth a visit by garden enthusiasts. It boasts a wealth of plants (6000 in all) in 30-acres of themed gardens within a gardens

The Lost Gardens of Heligan .

Heligan can be reached easily from here being near to the fishing harbour of Meviggissey. The gardens fell into neglect after the First World War and were rediscovered and restored by Tim Smit of Eden Project fame. It’s worth spending some quality time looking a round the varied gardens and enjoying the food and drink on offer there. Many of our visitors prefer it to Eden!

Lanhydrock House and Gardens, National Trust 01208 265950

A late Victorian country house whose fabulous buildings, gardens and woodland walks will enchant the Garden Enthusiast and fascinate the Historians among you. Only 6 miles away, Respryn woods is a natural paradise and should not be missed in bluebell season.

Par Sands - Menabilly - Polkerris

These are our local beaches and each offers visitors different experiences. Par Sands is popular with families because of its wide sandy beach and Polkerris has the same appeal with the added benefit of the pub right on the beach. Menabilly is just beyond Polkerris but is more secluded because it can only be accessed on foot. A coastal path with stunning views links all three.

On the River Fowey, surrounded by woodland Lerryn offers visitors outstanding riverside walks, bird watching, cycling, fishing, boating/canoeing and riding at St. Veep. Well worth a visit on a sunny day

Looe, Polperro and Mevagissey all delightful Cornish fishing harbours
