Private, comfortable and stylish Bed & Breakfast apartments within a 17th century farmhouse, set on the hillside opposite the Howgill Fells, with 14 acres of private land and breathtaking views. Characterful spaces with exposed beams and stone walls, yet with all modern comforts of a B&B with a total privacy and space for you to relax. We are in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with the Lake District only a short drive away.

A beautiful, spacious apartment in a converted hay barn with a private cottage garden.
Retaining it's character with exposed oak beams and stone walls the apartment has been furnished
with a combination of old and modern pieces with high quality bed and mattress with duck feather and down toppers and duvets and a walk in shower.
The open plan apartment also includes a lounging area and a private dining area as well as basic cooking facilitates: microwave, small fridge, kettle, toaster.
The 42" smart TV is connected to Netflix and Amazon Prime.
We also have a selection of boards games to keep you entertained in the evenings.
Outside there is a private garden with a seating area, small wood burning chimney and countryside views.

Low Branthwaites is a rural property, based along a un-tarmacked track.
The access to the apartment is via the track, which can be challenging to navigate for guests with reduced mobility.
The entrance to the apartment is private and separate to the main house. Guests have the use of the main garden ( separate to the owners garden) as well as a BBQ area and 14 acres of surrounding land, which is grazed by the sheep for most of the year.
We should add, that we are based up a private, rural track. This is not tarmacked, so sports cars or cars with very low clearance could have problems to navigate it.
We are in a remote location, 2 miles out of town, so a car or a bike is recommended to move around. We are also on occasion able to provide transfer within the local area by arrangement.
Should you need to book a taxi transfer please let us know and we can assist you with that.

To us holiday accommodation should be about comfort and privacy. We want our guests to unwind and fall in love with the surrounding nature, and most importantly, feel like at home.
Outside you are likely to meet our cats, hear the dogs and quacking of the ducks, meet the sheep and the friendly cows. We are surrounded by grazing fields, backing onto the fells, so bring your walking boots with you.

We are just over 2 miles outside of Sedbergh,a lovely old market town at the foot of the Howgill Fells, with a great selection of independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Low Branthwaites is owned, run and much loved by our family: Anna & Darren, our two little boys Jozef and Stanley, two dogs and two cats.

We fell in love with this place when we first stepped out of the car in October 2016 and decided to never leave. We’ve hoped to be closer to nature, inspired by the surrounding wonders and to give our boys the free range upbringing we both experienced. Low Branthwaites has been all this and more.
We want to make sure that all our guests fall in love in Low Branthwaites too and we will always do our best to help you with any requested and requirements. We also have many great tips for local hidden gems so don't be afraid to ask!
