The Timberjack

Although it's a rustic homage to the lumberjacks and jills of yesteryear, this cabin includes many of the comforts we now enjoy including a queen bed, kitchenette with fridge, hot water, AC/heat, a Keurig coffeemaker, smart TV and charcoal grill. The Timberjack is surrounded by trees right on Lake Hayward and close to downtown Hayward. The Knotty Pine Loft is the upper level (700 sf) of our garage/guest building. Up a flight of stairs you'll find a pine paneled kitchen & living room, private bedroom, and 3/4 bath. Loft windows overlook the pine-oak woods, a tamarack marsh, and 300 yds away is Spooner Lake . Note: The Knotty Pine Loft was named the Lakeview Loft, but after a windstorm downed a number of big trees, new birch and red oak treeshave grown up and lessened the view of the lake. The view returns in the winter!

Valhalla Townhouse is just a few miles outside the cute town of Cable Wisconsin. This property sits adjacent to an old ski hill and walking distance from the American Birkebeiner Trail head. Miles of trails are just out your door for cross country skiing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, hiking and ATV's. We have had many guests visit the sea caves in Cornucopia, spend the day in Bayfield, or hike the Porcupine Mountains.
