Route
“Stoltzekleiven in Bergen city center is a steep paved trail and stairs with approximately 722 steps up to Sandviksfjellet. Stoltzekleiven is one of the most popular trails in Bergen. Enjoy this hard but short popular hike from Fjellveien up Stoltzekleiven. The tour is divided into two parts with a challenging and an easy leg. The first part of the walk is mostly steep stone stairs. The more you climb, the better the view you get. The trip is suitable for both children and adults, but the hike is not recommended in winter when it can be slippery.”

“Edvard Grieg 's Museum in Troldhaugen is located in a beautiful and scenic part of Bergen, overlooking Nordåsvannet. The former residence of the famous composer is now a museum displaying Grieg's piano, his manuscripts and more. For the interested, we recommend taking a guided tour of the residence which gives you a glimpse into the life of the composer and his wife Nina, including many interesting and funny anecdotes.”

“If you want to get out of the center, this place and the neighbouring branch Bien Snack bar is very charming. Check out the menu before you set off, though. It is a bit of a walk back if you change your mind. Luckily it sits right by a light rail stop, though. They just opened a pizza place in the city center too that is worth a visit! ”

Parque
“Nordnesparken is a nice park where you can sit either on the sun or be protected by the trees. It is a great spot for a sunny day, and it is possible to swim here to. The walk to Nordnes is also really nice. When walking to it, try and walk the small and narrow streets where you will get a real good impression of some of the characteristic houses of Bergen. ”

Vecindario
“Bryggen is one of Bergen's and Norway's main attractions. Bryggen was built after the great fire in 1702 and is included on UNESCO's World Heritage List. The very first buildings in Bergen were situated at Bryggen, which has been a vibrant and important area of the city for many centuries. Bryggen has been ravaged by many fires, the great fire of 1702 in particular. It reduced the whole of the city to ashes. The area was rebuilt on the foundations that had been there since the 12th century, which means that Bryggen is basically unchanged despite the passing centuries. Bryggen is now part of Norway's common heritage and has a place on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, and the city of Bergen is a designated World Heritage City. The world heritage site consists of the old Hanseatic wharf and buildings, and one of the best known urban areas from the Middle Ages in all of Norway. In 1360, the German Hanseatic League set up one of its import and export offices at Bryggen, dominating trade for almost 400 years. To stroll through the narrow alleyways and overhanging galleries is to step back into the mists of time and a bygone era. Bryggen is very much a living part of the cultural heritage that is still in active use in this historical area of the city. Today, there are several attractions in the area, from the Fish Market to Bergenhus Fortress and there are many cafés, restaurants and shops to choose from. Many of the shops sell traditional and unique crafts.”

“Do not miss out on Gamle Bergen when you are in Bergen. It is an outdoor museum with 60-70 wooden houses that takes you back 300 years in time. It is even free of charge. Walk there in 20 minutes or take any bus from Skutevikstorget going north and go off at Gamle Bergen. ”
