“Top Shop is good for brekkie and lunch....and COFFEE. 2 min walk will have your morning coffee taken care of. Take a mug from home and help the planet :) (not the pink hand made ones please...they're my precious favourites. Granola/yohgurt and fresh fruit is our favourite brekkie, but egg and bacon rolls are also very good. Lunchtime is burgers, but they have a ready made quinoa salad that is very yummy too.”

“Special night out? Look no further than St Elmo’s - amazing food, and a sophisticated and intimate atmosphere. The only drawback is snaring a table as, even on a quiet night, St Elmo’s is often booked out, so remember to book early. Whether you start at the bar or head straight to your table for some of the Bay’s best tapas, you‘re assured of a fantastic evening at this superb venue. REMEMBER: Put on your best holiday outfit and head to St Elmo’s for a night to remember! Open 7 nights a week from 5 pm st elmos byron bay ”

Place to eat
“ - Vegan/Vegetarian - Folk is a small, funky daytime café where all products are made in house with a commitment to vegetarian & plant-based eating. Folk advertises as: Organic, local, ethical. Super food, it is super enjoyable to sit there and it has super friendly owners ;-). Has featured in Vogue, Monocle, Marie Claire, Gourmet Traveller and in many more. It is a bit out of town (1/399 Ewingsdale Rd) but everyone seems to find it! ”

“Sitting just below Byron’s iconic lighthouse, the Cape Byron Lighthouse Cafe is a great morning tea destination. Great whale-watching spot overlooking the ocean. Tasty snacks, muffins, coffee and cake. (For a special occasions, ask about booking a sunrise breakfast - one of the most interesting breakfasts I’ve had in Byron.)”

Bed and breakfast
“Open from about 7 am the Kiosk at the Beach Cafe is an ideal place for a grab-and-go snack or coffee from early morning. Simply order your coffee, snack etc and relax on the tables provided on your way to or from Clarke’s Beach. Convenient, casual ‘beachy’ eating - in your swimmers! Can suggest the prawn roll, when available, as a great after-swim light lunch. ”
