This is a self catering holiday let! The flat is very clean & simple and warm you can adjust the heating to suit you! You have parking directly outside in the drive this is also covered by CCTV. We are in a very fortunate location for the lakes very easy to access From the main road! Also just up the road from centre parks Whinfell forest! We are 10 minutes from Penrith Town and Appleby Town.
Kirkby Thore is a lovely village it has a little shop selling essentials A garage just up the road the other end of the village and a lovely Bistro a 2 minute walk down the road the food/cocktails are amazing and we highly recommended!

A wonderful , easy going place to use as a base to explore or simply to relax. Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead in garden due to the fact we have dogs, cats, chickens and pygmy goats! The single sofa bed can be moved from main bedroom into large sitting room, if required.

Cosy studio situated in the centre of Dufton. Ideal base for walkers and those wishing to visit the Lakes, Eden valley and the Dales.
We are in walking distance of the popular “High Cup Nick” that has appeared on Julia Bradbury best 100 walks. You could come and stay for a long weekend or a week and not have to get back in your car. Dufton is within 30-45 minutes drive to the start of the lakes, so ideal to use as a base. The Stag Inn is a minute away serving lovely food and cask ales.
We have a lovely walk through the Ghyll, beautiful when the blue bells are out, lots of walks for dog owners. From Easter we have a cafe/ shop that serves lovely homemade cakes, full English breakfast, burgers, etc. The last Friday of every month The Stag has live music.

    Church Apartment is a quaint self-contained home in a listed building, full of character and next to the 13th century church. It is perfect for two or for extra guests as a sofa bed is provided. There is a well equipped kitchen, cosy and comfortable living room, double bedroom and modern bathroom. Fast fibre broadband, Amazon TV, Netflix, coffee maker and wood stove, breakfast for the first day and lots more groceries. It is next door to Church Cottage and free parking nearby gives easy access.
    Church Apartment is ideal for two people though it can sleep up to four as there is a double sofa bed (116cm) in the sitting room. It is located within easy walking distance of all shops, restaurants, coffee shops and pubs, but within five minutes you are completely out in the countryside next to the river with open fields, woodland and country walks. The accommodation comprises a well equipped kitchen with an electric cooker, gas hob, fridge, coffee maker, microwave, washer and plenty of cookware. You will find fresh farm eggs, cereal, bread, coffee and grocery items waiting for you. The comfortable sitting room has two sofas (one being a sofa bed), television and west facing window giving views of Kirkby Stephen town and wonderful sunsets.     Kirkby Stephen in the Eden Valley is a friendly and characterful market town of about 2000 people. Church Apartment is next to the beautiful 13th century parish church known as The Cathedral of the Dales, near Market Square. The River Eden at Franks Bridge is a short stroll away. You can walk along the river, through open fields onto the hills or to Stenkrith Park where the Eden has carved rock pools and waterfalls. You may see red squirrels and other wildlife around here. In the old town of Kirkby Stephen you will find independent shops, cafes and pubs, and a tourist information centre. Our Indian restaurant is very popular and there are good pub restaurants in nearby villages. The limestone countryside around here is lovely and visiting The Yorkshire Dales and The Lake District National Parks is easy. Swaledale, Wensleydale, Ullswater, Keswick and the North Lakes are very accessible. Kirkby Stephen is on the Settle to Carlisle Railway.

    The flat is situated two minutes walk to Kendal Town Centre. The bus and train stations no more than five minutes. The local train runs directly to Windermere, and the 555 Bus goes Keswick via Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere. The flat overlooks the River Kent with walks up to Kendal Castle, home of Katherine Parr.Our building has disabled access, but not to our flat. There are two lifts for both entrances for the main entrance and the rear. Parking is available only for one vehicle.
    If you are arriving by train we will be happy to meet you and bring you here.
    There are various cafes and restaurants for all tastes. Market days on Wednesday and Saturday.

    A peaceful woody space, rustic yet with all the amenities needed for a relaxing break. Two double beds one on a mezzanine loft whilst the other in spacious bedroom with a double wardrobe and space for extra beds. (can sleep up to 6 using a blow up bed.) Large kitchen/ dining area and comfortable lounge with two huge bohemian sofas and throws. Lovely garden with free range chickens and a hot tub.(£60.00 for two days £80.00 for 3)
    Tranquil setting with a boho feel.Two main sleeping areas with 2 double beds a blow up double bed and single camp bed There are basics like tea coffee sauces spices and oil in the kitchen cupboard and theres milk and Porridge, if hens are laying eggs too. I leave towels in the toilet area and bath mats. There is a washer you can use in the 'panic room' next to loo (basically a store room !) We have a heavenly hot tub outside, and a fire pit in our shared garden, give us a nod and well load you up with wood to warm up after your dip !!! We have a barn next door that we use for parties, and you are welcome to book out our glamping site with Four units ,(see air bnb woodland yurt , Gypsy pod and retro van, Great Strickland) and the camp site and Have a knees up if you so wish !! We do have cats and dogs on the farm if you have allergies to pets this is not the accomodation for you, so sorry.
    Our village has a great pub a 10- 15 minutes walk away. A twenty minute bike ride or a 5 minute car journey can bring you to Larch Cottage Nursery, the best garden centre in England!! Moreland café (open Wed to Sun) is 5 mins in opposite direction and does lovely breakfasts and lunches.Lowther Castle is the other side of the M6 and boats a huge children’s play castle as well as beautiful gardens and another quality cafe. In Askham just a half mile from here are two great pubs , The Punch Bowl and The Queens Head ,Askham hall and gardens and the Health Barn, a great place ho relax and be pampered. Fantastic mountains within a 10 to 45 minute car ride away, and gentle walks in the local area. A perfect area for cycling and just off the coast to coast route.

    Located in Dentdale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Brooks Barn is a one bedroom self contained apartment 1.2 miles away from the picturesque village of Dent. If you like walking, relaxing, or sampling real ales, this is the perfect getaway. We look forward to welcoming you.
    The apartment is part of the main house, but has its own private entrance. It has an open plan kitchen and lounge, bathroom with shower, and a bedroom with double bed. There is also a sofa bed for extra guests, but it would be very cosy if four adults were staying. It is perfect for couples and young children.
    Dentdale is at the western end of the National Park. The dale's steep-sided valley contrasts beautiful flower-filled meadows and lush riverside pastures with the sparser grassy upland of the fells. Dent station Dent station, the highest mainline station in England and part of the Settle-Carlisle railway, offers a great overview of the valley as it connects Ribblesdale in the south with the Eden Valley in the north. Impressive viaducts at Dent Head and Arten Gill carry the railway above the Dale before plunging into long, dark tunnels at either side of the dale. Dent village At the top of Dentdale lies Cowgill and Stone House. These small hamlets have between them, a fine chapel, a pub - the Sportman's Inn. Further down the valley lies the main town - Dent. Here you will find a village shop, pubs - the Sun Inn and George and Dragon - and cafés such as Stone Close Café. June sees Dent bursting at the seams as visitors flock to the annual Dentdale Music & Beer Festival. From Dent, the River Dee then continues on its journey westwards to meet the River Rawthey close to Sedbergh. Walking and cycling Dentdale offers great walking including the Dales Way which follows the river and some superb higher level traverses such as the Occupation Road above Dent. The quiet roads in the valley are also a great introduction to cycling in the area.

Excelente ubicación, demasiado bien o al borde de la ciudad de Kendal centro, tan excelente para caminar a las tiendas. Tener un lugar de estacionamiento de auto "personal" también es una bendición. Un hecho importante: la cama principal es solo una cama doble estándar, por lo que si eres muy alto o ancho, es posible que te resulte un poco irritante.

    Overlooking the beautiful Kendal Green, Greenview offers guests a quiet retreat within a stones throw of both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Park. Greenview is a newly renovated, self contained, ground floor flat with views over Kendal Green and within a short walk of Kendal town centre. It has full central heating and briefly comprises of one double bedroom, living/dining room, bathroom and kitchen. Included in the kitchen is a microwave, oven, washing machine, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and gas hob as well a selection of cookery books should the mood take you, if not there are some great restaurants within a short walk. We provide tea and coffee, breakfast cereals, a pint of milk for your first night included in the booking. The bathroom has large power shower (you wont want to get out!) basin and heated towel rail.     Kendal Green is a quiet, sought after residential area overlooked by some of Kendal's grandest Victorian townhouses. Just 10 minues walk down Windermere Road will take you into the market town of Kendal full of quaint cobbled yards. Wandering round you will find some great shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs or if you are looking for something more cultural then the Abbott Art Gallery, The Museum of Lakeland Life or book into one of the many shows the Brewery Arts Centre has to offer. Kendal also has a range of festivals throughout the year including the world famous Kendal Mountain Film Festival. If you are feeling more energetic then a stroll up Kendal Castle or Scouts Scar will provide fine views of the town and it's close proximity to the Lakeland fells.

    Set in a quiet converted Mews, the Granary is a cosy, light and spacious apartment with bath and shower, kitchen, dining area, lounge and separate bedroom with king sized bed.
    There is a window seat in the lounge offering a view of Knipe Scar. The private garden has a lockable shed for storage of bikes or other outdoor equipment.
    There is a village store/Post Office a 2 minute walk from the property and two pubs within half a mile. There are lots of other good pubs and cafes between 3 and 10 miles away. Details of these and menus where possible are stored at the Granary. It's a great location for walking. You can access a footpath which takes you down to the river, a quarter of a mile away, without having to go on roads, and there you'll find the peaceful riverside path. For the more adventurous, there are plenty of hill and mountain walks offering great views of Haweswater and Ullswater. There are over 30 laminated guided walks stored at the property, to give you some ideas to get started. There are also loads of great places for cycling and other outdoor activities.

The village pub serves good food and also has a takeaway menu. The fish and chip van calls on a Wednesday and there are many pubs and eateries in Leyburn and surrounding villages. Visits recommended to The Wensleydale Creamery and Dales Museum in Hawes, the Teapot and Chocolate Factory in Leyburn and Black Sheep Brewery in Masham. There are maps, walk books and visiting ideas in the apartment.

Woven into the Victorian fabric of The Yorkshire Dales, The Cosy Corner situated on the first floor, and has a great vantage point to take in the views. It makes the perfect place for a break, just at the end of Main Street - so within a few strides of the local shops, some great eateries, pubs and of course, the foot of Winder.
    The Cosy Corner is set on the first floor of 86 Main Street - above the Charity Shop 'Clutter Books & Clobber'. The Brown Door in the Alley leads to a communal hall way, and on the first floor you can find the private entrance to The Cosy Corner. There is no lift in this Grade II Listed Building. Parking is available in Joss Lane Car Park for extended stays.
    Sedbergh dates from as early as Saxon times however it's now known chiefly as England's book town and has a charming bustling feel about it. Surrounded on all sides by the mighty Howgills and rolling green countryside, it retains much of its old-world charm and is perfect for exploring on foot. There are gentle riverside ambles and challenging fell walks available right from the door. You could get well kitted out and head to Cautley Spout, arguably England's highest waterfall, a few miles out of town. Set in a restored Victorian Woollen Mill just outside town, Farfield Mill has been developed to showcase textile arts and give a window into the history of the industry. Gorgeous crafts are available to buy there and the cafe makes a great place to stop for a treat. The town boasts several good pubs and cafes within a short potter and countless places to peruse books for the bibliophiles among you. Sedbergh's privileged situation on the western side of the Yorkshire Dales and within easy reach of the Eastern Lake District makes it a fantastic spring board for exploration.     A haven for walkers, cyclists and those that want to get away from the hustle and bustle to explore everything that the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks have to offer. We're located at the foot of the Howgill Fells and are just a short walk away from the local shops, amenities and traditional country pubs in Sedbergh.
    Bed linen and towels are all supplied, along with basic necessities eg. toilet roll, kitchen roll, washing up liquid etc. I also put some breakfast provisions into the kitchen, cereals, orange juice, coffee, tea, sugar milk etc.
    There are several good eating places in Sedbergh providing meals from Breakfast to Dinner. Smatts Duo is a lovely coffee shop and their full breakfast is a real treat. They are open for meals through the day until 5.00p.m. No.6 Finkle Street is a delightful stylish shop with The Mad Hatters Tearoom on the first floor with fabulous drinks and light snacks. The 3 Hares is an artisan cafe providing meals throughout the day and also on some evenings. If you like fish and chips then the Haddock Paddock fish and chip shop is the place to go where you can take out or eat in. The Red Lion and the Dalesman are the pubs in town along with the White Hart social club where you can go in as a visitor. We have a beautiful 9 hole golf course 1.5 miles away set in a very picturesque setting with wonderful views. With tree-lined holes and fairways crossing the river Dee and others running alongside the river Rawthey the emphasis is placed upon accuracy rather than distance. There are several other golf courses within a short drive.

The flat makes a perfect place for a couple (linen for the King Bed is included in the base price) but the wonderfully quirky mezzanine has sofa beds to accommodate up to four further guests (an additional invoice for £15/bed will be sent when you specify your requirements - there's a double and two singles that can be set up)

We have renovated this previous 1 bed flat to enable it to sleep our whole family.     We are located in a a rural area with high cup nick on our doorstep or views of Cross Fell. If your a cyclist why not try Great Dunn Fell road, no traffic and one of the top ten sprints in the country with rewarding views at the top and the start is only a couple of hundred yards away!

    A beautiful, spacious apartment in a converted hay barn with a private cottage garden. Retaining it's character with exposed oak beams and stone walls the apartment has been furnished with a combination of old and modern pieces with high quality bed and mattress with duck feather and down toppers and duvets and a walk in shower. The open plan apartment also includes a lounging area and a private dining area as well as basic cooking facilitates: microwave, small fridge, kettle, toaster. The 42" smart TV is connected to Netflix and Amazon Prime. We also have a selection of boards games to keep you entertained in the evenings. Outside there is a private garden with a seating area, small wood burning chimney and countryside views.
    We are just over 2 miles outside of Sedbergh,a lovely old market town at the foot of the Howgill Fells, with a great selection of independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. The house is located up a private track, surrounded by grazing land and meadows, with direct access to footpath and fells.

    A recently fully renovated 18th Century Barn with its own private access. It has been renovated to a very high standard. Use of the garden to walk your dog around - so long as you don't mind two cocker spaniels possibly joining you! Nestled in the Eden Valley with easy access to The Lake District - now a UNESCO World Heritage area. Lots of lovely walking in the area, together with plenty of places to eat and drink.
    All ground level with one small step to the front and back door. King-sized bed with linen and towels provided. Fully equipped kitchen with an electric AGA City cooker (instructions included!). Lovely exposed beams and high standard of furnishings. There is also an alarm system.
    Nestled in the Eden Valley, Colby is just outside Appleby-in-Westmorland, the former County Town of Westmorland. There is the Carlisle-Settle Railway which is a beautiful train ride and places to stop off and walk.

    This is a bijoux, very traditional flat with wonderful old beams and wooden floors. It has its own entry inside a main front door that provides access to just one other flat. It is therefore very secure. Being off the street means it is also very quiet but yet one can get to the main street and Kendal itself in minutes. The hosts live nearby so can react quickly to any issues and will also welcome you to the house personally.
    Pets must be small and a maximum of two small animals. Cats are not recommended as there are dogs in the area. Please can you let me know if you want to bring a pet in advance.
    Kendal is a very special place, being the gateway to the Lakes and has its own special character with a ruined castle and a river that has a canal path running alongside. Cafes and eateries are numerous. Covid -19 update . we are disinfecting areas in the flat between guest stays to try to allay concerns about the virus.

    Shap has a supermarket, post office, award winning fish and chip shop, pubs, coffee shop (for breakfasts!) and the highest outdoor heated swimming pool in England.

    Newly refurbished, this modern ground floor apartment has everything you need to enjoy a stay in Sedbergh. Conveniently located for the Yorkshire Dales and for the Lake District, Sedbergh is just 5 miles from the M6, and 15 mins drive from Oxenholme station. It is, however, a lovely spot to visit in its own right! The flat is situated in a quiet residential area just 2 mins walk from the local Spar, and 5 mins from the Main Street. Free Parking is available directly outside.
    The apartment has two bedrooms, one with a King sized bed; the other, smaller room simply with two single beds (trundle bed). All furniture in the apartment was brand new in September 2018, and the fully equipped kitchen comes with extra luxuries such as a Nespresso machine and a bread maker. The bathroom is equipped with a shower cubicle and bath. Most of the plug sockets also have USB built in.
    Quiet residential area with very respectful neighbours. Spar supermarket is two mins by foot; Main Street is five mins walk away. On the Main Street you will find a selection of shops, a chemist, pubs, restaurants and cafes.

    Quiet 3 bedroomed flat in village location a few minutes walk from the excellent Central Stores and Hare and Hounds pub. Perfect base for walkers, cyclists, mountain bikers or those that want to explore Cumbria, North Lancashire or the Yorkshire Dales by car. 2 of the bedrooms have double beds, the third has a single bed and there is a sofa bed in the sitting room. There is a dining table for 4, a separate table for 2 in the kitchen and a patio set for 2 on the balcony.
    Levens is a very quiet and peaceful village with a great shop, pub, and church! We loved it so much we lived there for 30 years and are keen for others to discover it and enjoy it as we have done.

    Unique due to its history - Stable Cottage has been converted from the barn which attachs our family home (Manor House). It originally housed livestock, although was converted into stables in the nineteenth century. Lovely original exposed oak beams and quirky windows!
    Stunning scenery, great walks, peace and quiet, and plenty of good local pubs to frequent for excellent food and drink (we even have our own brewery in the village!)
