“Very popular, good idea to make a reso or get there early. If you have to wait, take a walk down by all the boats in the harbour. ”

“A really nice little restaurant in Genoa Bay that is right on the water at the Marina. Really nice outdoor patio to sit out on a summer evening and watch the boats. The food there is excellent. ”

“Go to Cowichan Bay for a beautiful stroll along the Government Wharf. Early morning (before they sell out of my favorite) or later in the evening as the sunsets are magnificent. This is a quaint seaside village looking across to Salt Spring Island. Don't miss True Grain Bakery for a morning coffee and flaky almond croissant, my personal favorite. True Grain makes all its breads from Canadian Grain, what a commitment. Bruce is truely a local buisinessman and craftsman worth supporting. Remember to bring a baguette or local pasta home for supper. ”

“Very good pub food in Maple Bay Marina. Great atmosphere sitting in what once used to be a working shipyard building. Lots of photos of boats and memorabilia from days gone by. Nice patio surrounded by glass so you don't get too much wind off the water. And the great part is, it is only a few minutes walk from our vacation rental. ”
