Pub irlandés
“Fiddler's is an Irish Public House located in downtown South Bend. The have a lot of live music (almost exclusively Celtic), authentic Irish food and a massive selection of Irish beers and Scotch. It's very cozy and they do a great job of making you feel like you're in an actual Celtic Public House. They also manage to do that while making it family friendly. Not sure you want to keep the kids their until bar closing on a weekend, but they do provide board games, cards and puzzles for fun. ”

“The Studebaker National Museum is a state-of-the-art, 55,000-square-foot facility that opened in October 2005. The building has three levels and features fully climate-controlled galleries and storage facilities to ensure the best possible care for the Collection. The Studebaker National Museum was designed by South Bend’s own James Childs Architects and features several design elements from Studebaker’s factory buildings.”

“Local ownership and local brewer (owners also have equity in Fiddlers Hearth), their beers are amazing and they serve platters of rich decadent foods like smoked meats (smoked on premise), cheeses, burgers, etc all done in a unique way that matches nothing else in South Bend. If you like IPA's you have to try the Turtle Tamer. They also lean towards being a public house, so about half the seating is at very large tables where they put groups together, so unless you have a very large group, you will probably make some friends by the time you leave. Especially if you have more than a couple of Turtle Tamers! ”

“Hey, South Bend has a Zoo. Go figure! It's pretty nice too. They also host events that are a blast (and usually sell out almost immediately). Our favorite is Zoo Brew. They fill the zoo with micro brewers and you walk around sampling craft beer all night. Another favorite is Zoo Boo at Halloween. Parents bring their kids in costumes and trick or treat in the zoo. ”

“Conceptualized by Kurt Janowsky, founder of the Navarre Hospitality Group (Cafe Navarre, Artisan, and more), the Exchange Whiskey Bar is a hidden craft cocktail and whiskey bar with over 300 of the best whiskeys you can find anywhere in the country. Inspired by an atmosphere with a rich history dating back to when this building was one of the last banks John Dillinger himself robbed, this swanky spot is loaded with vintage furniture, wrought iron details, and Victorian style decor. Enjoy a prohibition era-style night out with vintage speakeasy cocktails based on authentic recipes, and the most incredible selection of whiskeys in the area. ”

“Their tagline is "HISTORIC, LOCALLY OWNED AND SOPHISTICATED AS HELL". Pretty much sums it up. On the pricey side for South Bend, but they deliver, so you definitely get what you pay for! The food is creative and outstanding quality. The staff is very well trained and friendly. The bar is classy with a great wine, spirits and craft brew selection. If you like upscale, they won't disappoint.”

“A South Bend classic. Family owned and operated since 1951, there is no doubt you're in an authentic Italian restaurant when you're at Rocco's. Nothing fancy. Nothing pretentious. Amazing pizza. Incredible pasta. Served in a homelike environment by people who make you feel like family. For ND football fans, the walls are covered with an amazing collection of memorabilia. Worth visiting just to soak in the history. ”
