You will find the food is outstanding. Parking can be a problem if you go during peak hours but it is worth the trouble. Lovely house and garden.

The Garden Route Botanical Garden (GRBG) is a 19-hectare locally indigenous botanical garden situated at the base of the Outeniqua Mountains in the town of George. The garden itself focuses on conserving and displaying plants indigenous to the Southern Cape region. There is also a small restaurant near the nursery where you can enjoy a light meal and a drink. https://www.botanicalgarden.org.za/garden/ Trading Hours: Mon - Sun 07H00 - 19H00 (September to April) & 07H30 - 18H00 (May to Aug) Entrance fee is R10.00 per person About (Owner’s description): Enjoy the beauty of the Garden Route Botanical Gardens. The Botanical Gardens offers both scenic strolls around the dam (check out our Bird Hide) or a short nature trail (10 min) along a stream to the more serious full-day hiking trails that can be accessed from the Gardens. There are a number of benches to relax at and enjoy the scenic beauty. Picnic tables are situated next to the stream and there is room for the young ones to play and explore. Please note: the front entrance and forest access gate will be locked after normal gate hours (as above). To avoid having your car or yourself being locked in, ensure you are back timeously. Safe parking and ablution facilities are available. Dogs are allowed on a leash in certain areas
