The only true Sports Bar near the condo. The burgers are great, love their sweet potato fries, nights they also have sushi. TV's everywhere with all sports being shown. Large assortment of beers on tap.

Kihei Rent a Car is off airport but they will pick you up. They save you $ in airport tax. Take a taxi to the condo and use public transportation. Bus service is awesome on Maui and the closest stop is less than one block away near Beach Bums Restaurant.

Sightseeing Hana

Hana is a long drive, leave early and come back long before dark. It will take a minimum of 4 hours round trip driving then add in stopping to see the waterfalls hiking to the most beautiful. Don't forget to stop and walk the path through the bamboo forest. Through town on the right several miles out is Haleakala National Park ocean side. Well worth the stop. Everyone want to see the Seven Sacred Pools though there are more than seven and they are not sacred. If you chose to come back the opposite way you arrived be advised there is no cell service so make sure you have plenty of water and gas. Rental agencies don't permit this road but locals use it all the time. If you go this way you might want to stop at the small chapel on the left and visit Lindberg's grave. It is the largest one we've ever seen.
Do something new. Great teachers. Also, go to Maui Canoe Club at 7:00 am and take an outrigger canoe out for an hour. $20 first time, $10 after that. Located on North Kihei Road on ocean side. You can't miss them. Red/white canoes. Pink canoes are for the cancer survivors who are a part of MCC.

Glass blowing, great Mexican and Italian restaurants as well as best pastries on the island at Kumoda's but get their early...a great treat after sunrise at Haleakala. Makawao is a quaint small town.

It isn't just vodka but they also distill rum now. I like driving up the back way not the highway. If interested pm me or call and I'll give you directions. Besides this location did you know we have a Maui Winery? And, a few brew houses. Maui Brewing Co. is in Kihei and is the closest to the condo.

Iao Valley State Park. $5 to park but worth the hike/view

Stay on Highway 30 as you leave the condo to the right. You'll pass the Maui Tropical Plantation another great place to learn about all things grown on Maui. A few miles down the road you will come to an intersection of Main. Turn left and watch for signs to Iao. Nice little hike and great views but only go in the mornings when no fog is on the mountains. On the way down visit the little park dedicated to settlers of Maui - Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese each have their own little area that is quaint and very nice to visit. You can picnic lunch right on the river there.
Cómo moverse

It's best to rent a car but our bus service is great

If you walk down the walkway through the building then down the sidewalk to the harbor you are just steps away from catching the city bus that will take you to Lahaina, shopping at our malls, Kihei, Wailea for a very nominal amount. One guest didn't even rent a car and saw many great places. But, if you want sightseeing - rent a car.

Get out off the beaten path and go to LaPeruse

You will drive through our only lava fields out to the end of the road. This is a marine sanctuary so no fishing. There is a great path for a hike here as well.
