Make sure you have a reservation. There is always a wait, even on a Tuesday evening. What they lack in atmosphere they make up in excellent tasting Italian food. This is about a 10 minute drive and it's not near anything of note. But, the food is worth it.

This place has excellent Mexican food. They are known for their mole. If you go, be prepared to wait in line. There is always a line, which I guess means it's worth the wait. They have another location just a few blocks away called Red Iguana 2.

They have food, but what's impressive is the amount of beer they have on tap, in bottles, and in cans. This is about 1-2 miles from downtown, so it's not really close to much of anything of note. But, if you like beer, this might be a good place to eat and drink.

Proper cocktails are prepared, even if it means there's a governor on the pour. Fun Fact: Ty Burrell, the actor that plays Phil Dunphy on "Modern Family" owns the bar. He lives in Salt Lake and occasionally you'll see him around town. I suggest going early because it can get a little crowded late in the evening.
