We actually got married here. It is a high-ceilinged former garage that has replaced its normal door with 100 reclaimed windows. The granola is the best in the business and the space is big and airy, a great place to relax.

A biodynamic/small-batch wine shop full of nice, unpretentious folks. They hired a chef and it is supposed be a great place for food though we haven’t tried it yet.

Parks & Nature

The best part about living in Clapton is the canal and Marshes – the greatest secrets of East London. If you follow Redwald Rd down to Daubeney Rd you come to the River Lee. In 5 minutes you go from hipster Chatsworth Road to forgetting you are in London. It is the perfect place for a run if you are feeling ambitious but is even better for an easy stroll. Cross the bridge and turn left to go towards the Nature Reserve and some of the only wild fields left in London. Turn right to go toward Hackney Wick, a former industrial area now filled with the coolest spaces in the city. To the right you can also see the London Olympic parks – interesting for a gander if you are into that sort of thing.
