Moqui Cave is both cool and kitschy, has an amazing back story and to top it off, it's in a cave! A fun to-do while visiting Kanab. Part museusm, part store, part history lesson!

An amazing destination east of Kanab. The arch is just a short walk from the parking area and is situated on the south wall of Glass Eye Canyon. A walk in the base of the canyon is an added bonus. Please ask us for more details about this arch.

This amazing alcove is etched out of sandstone and has a beautiful sand dune in the center. It is one hour from Kanab and requires a four wheel drive vehicle to get to it. The hike from the trailhead to the Great Chamber is about 15 minutes with the last 5 minute hike up a steep sand slope. Ask Ron for more details.

The Wave is one of most popular destinations in our area, it is also one of the most difficult to get to. A lottery process takes place daily in Kanab. I have been to The Wave many times and would be happy to give you some tips. Ron

Outdoor essentials

Kanab is located in the high desert and adventurers need to take some precautions particularly in the late spring, summer and fall. When hiking, wear a hat, sunscreen and carry plenty of water. Good hiking shoes or boots are a must as well as the trails conditions can be rocky and uneven.

Watch for deer!

This area is not only beautiful but full of wildlife. Mule deer are most active at dawn and dusk but can be seen at any time during the day. When traveling, be very aware of deer crossing the roads surrounding Kanab. Migration season is fall and spring but mule deer sightings are common throughout the year.
