The 2 normal starting points:
Hunskår: grade - challenging, approx 4 hrs to the top, 14 km
Berleneset: grade moderate, approx 5 hrs to the top, 15 km
Vetvika can only be reached on foot over the mountains or by boat. Once you have reached the highest point towards the bay, a beautiful scenery opens. There are 2 starting points. The challenging part is down to the beach and back.
From Svarstad: grade challenging - approx 15 km, 8 hrs around.
From Iglandsvik: grade moderate (if not descending to the beach), approx. 9 km, 10 hrs (according to the information)
Vetvika
Vetvika can only be reached on foot over the mountains or by boat. Once you have reached the highest point towards the bay, a beautiful scenery opens. There are 2 starting points. The challenging part is down to the beach and back.

Veten has a day-trip cabin on a height of 500 meter. It takes approx 2 hrs to get there, if you start at Grotlesanden. From Veten you have a fantastic view towards the ocean and the beautiful white sand beach of Grotle. You can also start your walk at Iglandsvik and follow ‘ the Panorama’ walk towards Veten (7,5 km / 5 hrs) and down to Grotlesanden.

Veten has a day-trip cabin on a height of 500 meter. It takes approx 2 hrs to get there, if you start at Grotlesanden. From Veten you have a fantastic view towards the ocean and the beautiful white sand beach of Grotle. You can also start your walk at Iglandsvik and follow ‘ the Panorama’ walk towards Veten (7,5 km / 5 hrs) and down to Grotlesanden.

Basically round trips. The local people have put a big effort in marking the paths and you will find excellent information on the board’s at the 2 starting points of these trips. No mass tourism here.

Grotlesanden and Refsviksanden (on the neighbor island Vågsøy, are truly exotic. White sand beaches and bright blue/green water. Maybe not expected in Norway, but it actually does !

On the island Vågsøy there are 3 lighthouses to visit. Kråkenes fyr, Hendanes fyr and Skongenes fyr. The first 2 relatively short walking distances. Once you’re in the neighborhood of Hendanes fyr, do not forget to see the Kannesteinen.
