Hike to scenic view. The hike is free to do on your own, although sometimes there are some folks charging R$5 to go on it. I have a motorbike and can serve as a guide, contact me.
You can walk up from the bottom, but it will take about an hour an a half. Or take a mototaxi from the bottom to the beginning of the trail and the trail itself will be about 45 min.

You can hike the first mountain, Morro da Urca, for free by accessing the trail to the left of Praia Vermelha (the beach in front of the Sugar Loaf cable-car entrance). You can also access it by cable-car to go to the second mountain. Both have lovely views.
