the be all end all of small but amazing rooms.. i've seen everyone from Marilyn Manson to Dwight Yoakum here - be warned though -you will never want to see a show in a large venue again - booking 930 is a coup for any new band and if you haven't heard of the band, you soon will - if they are playing 930 they are great- you won't see a bad show- ever... a DC institution if you are a live music fan this room is a MUST. xo

weirdly this place stocks it all! and its just across the street in the bowels of Gallery Place :-) It has a World Market, full of fun foods and they stock all the convenience store staples, shampoos, pop tarts, soda pop etc.

If shopping is your jam- your'e in luck- just a few blocks away there is a really great new shopping district - all the fun high end shops you want.. Hermes, Carolina Herrera, Kate Spade, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Longchamp, and the like- new spots open pretty regularly - there are also a few nice places to grab a bite etc. if you wear yourself out trying on fancy frocks...momofuku, and milk bar are my favorites!
