The Ancient Forest Trail provides an opportunity to view enormous ancient cedar trees within BC's inland rainforest. The trail is an easy-moderate hike marked with interpretative signage, and is home to a beautiful waterfall. A 400m portion of the trail is a universal access boardwalk. It leaves the parking lot, goes through incredible cedar trees and other vegetation before ending at a small stream. It's quite a drive out, but if you have the time and a vehicle, it's a nice spot!

Around 50 km norm of Prince George, Teapot Mountain Trail is a short uphill hike leading to a summit with four viewpoints providing 360 degree views of the surrounding lakes, rivers, forests and wetlands. Though it's short, it's very steep, so please consider this before heading out with poor foot wear or little ones! The views are worth it, thought. The route explores one of two basalt volcanic plugs in the region. The basalt flows formed the interior plateau in the north long before the ice age
