Take a ferry to Bainbridge Island for great views of Seattle from the water. When I go, I usually make a stop at Mora Iced Creamery. It's about a 10 min walk from the ferry terminal. You can also drive your car onto the ferry and drive around Bainbridge, but you don't really need to.

Plenty of fun and great views of the city, Gas Works part, house boat neighborhoods, UW, and more. You can even snap a picture of the houseboat from Sleepless in Seattle.
