On the list of favorite local beers and breweries. We love everything UB offers, but visit this location and you can taste before ordering. Plus the food is very tasty (if not at all healthy) and is casual enough for a family or group setting that includes kids.

Top secret warehouse full of St Louis architectural artifacts. PLUS it's housed in the Lemp Brewery (entrance at Lemp between Cherokee and Broadway). Only open on Saturdays, and run by a very special human named Regan. Access to the incredible (and long defunct) Lemp brewery is more than enough to make a visit worthwhile if you're into old buildings and foraging for dusty architectural treasures.

Can't say enough about this Louisiana inspired menu and fare! This is coming from a girl born in New Orleans. The shrimp and grits is out of this world. Also, upstairs is 'The Chocolate Bar'- a dessert cocktail spot for after your meal. Mildly pricey but worth every penny.

This is a special spot because A- the delicious food offerings change daily and are all cooked from scratch B- the prices are insanely inexpensive for top notch goodness in large quantities and C- the experience of dining here is like eating in your best friend's very comfortable living room.
