The Royal Port Alfred Golf Club, is within walking distance to the house. They have a full bar with an outdoor patio and an amazing view of the ocean and wildlife on the golf course greens. They also have a Bar Menue, which serves delicious home made food, including cakes, scones and tea/coffee. There is also ice cream available for children. The bar area is normaly open to the puplic. As a non member, one would have to book early to use the golf course to play a game of golf, as this is an extreemly popular Golf Club.

Guido's Port Alfred is situated next to the Kowie River Pier.
They have a great pizza menu as well as seafood and fish and chips. Upstairs is a full Bar with a deck which overlooks the river and has a panoramic view of the Ocean. They are open all day. In the evenings they have music and holiday events. Great place to watch surfing and perhaps spot some dolphins if you lucky.

Bathurst is a beautiful town about 10 minutes drive from the house. The Big Pineapple is situated just ouside Bathurst. It is easiy to see as one approaches . They have a pineapple education area and a pineapple shop. The Pig and Whistle Hotel is one of the oldest in South Africa. They have a full Bar and great food. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. They also have an outdoor Garden and a splunge pool. There is also the Bathurst Agricultural Museam . Surrounded by trees and horses. They have a Bar and Pub food.
