Drinks & Nightlife

Great Belgium craft beers in Santa Barbara! The atmosphere is very friendly, open, and adjacent to a BBQ restaurant. They recently began serving small plates also.

One of my favorite wine tasting rooms in Santa Barbara. Located in the Funk Zone, Kunin offers Rhone style wines. The staff is super friendly and rarely do they have a miss. They'll also recommend wine tasting rooms to visit, so don't be shy and ask where to go next! This is an excellent starting place within Santa Barbara.

A great spot to walk around, maybe grab a drink on the pier as well. They have a few restaurants, ice cream shop, and a wine tasting room. Oh, and don't miss the Aquarium!

Shopping

State Street is the main Santa Barbara shopping area. Tons of small niche shops along with national stores, such as Nordstrom and the like, and patio restaurants. You'll likely find a few wineries and breweries along the walk, which runs from the oceanfront all the way up several miles.

Food Scene

Fantastic eatery down in the Funk Zone of Santa Barbara. They serve unique experimental dishes. Why not do a bit of wine tasting within the "Zone" beforehand. Reservations are a must!!

The SB Public Market has a bit of everything and has quickly become a nice spot to walk around in when you're not quite sure what you want to eat. They have an amazing Tai restaurant, Empty Bowl, a Mexican restaurant, brewery, wine room, and many smaller niche restaurants, coffee shops, etc. The whole area is under a roof, so great for rainy days. It's quite small considering how much it offers.

If you love Mexican food, then don't miss this place. It's a locals place with international fame. All the great chefs come to visit this place. It usually has a long line, and they only accept cash, but it's completely worth the wait... and VERY budget-friendly. Everything is fresh and made-to-order.

A dog-friendly beach with amazing sunset views. The Beach House restaurant directly on the beach, which has great dishes, cocktails, etc. Reservations preferred on the weekends.

Check out the Bowl if you're up for a concert. There really isn't a bad seat. It's an outdoor stadium overlooking the ocean.
