My Favorite Restaurants

I love the Kale Salad, the Strawberry Salad, the hamburger, the fries and the atmosphere. The catfish is also very good. They have a nice porch and you can take your dog to the outdoor section.

It's not your typical Mexican Restaurant. I feels more authentic and even though it is a hole in the wall, the food is great. I love the chicken chimichanga, and the Burritos Monterrey.

I really like the boots I find at Dillard's. There is a new movie theater that I would like to try, where you can eat dinner and drink wine while watching the movie.

excursions not too far away

There are all sorts of fun things for kids to do in and near Gatlinburg. Not too far off the beaten path, there is a little craft community where many artists have stores (e.g., pottery, jewelry).

You can explore many cabins that were built in the 1800's that have moved into this area. There are many artifacts, animals, and educational experiences at the museum. At times, they have people playing folk music on the grounds, and it can be quite festive.
