South Grand is just a block away and has a lot of great food to offer. Here are some of the restaurants we frequent the most.
Great place for coffee and a quiet morning. Tip, the back patio is a secret little gem and the London Fog gelato is incredible. If you like coffee and gelato you can't go wrong with an Affogato.

Really excellent family friendly breakfast/brunch spot. It gets crazy on the weekends so be sure to check in with the no wait/yelp app so you can just roll out of bed and walk in to be seated. The Missouri sausage and apples crepe is so wonderful and their breakfast cocktails are so good!

Service can be a little slow, they have a teeny kitchen but grab a draft beer or a club soda and enjoy the modern and inviting environment. Bonus, they also have a ping pong bar upstairs!

If you're looking for less greasy Chinese Food, Wei Hong has delicious and authentic Cantonese offerings. The fried rice and Crab Rangoons are delicious and we love the soft egg tofu dishes. Also be sure to pick up a Red Bean bakery treat! We always order out and they can be a bit slow. I'm not sure how their in restaurant dining is.

We are obsessed with their sticky rice pots, best ordered in house. As a vegetarian in college I couldn't get enough of their Sesame Tofu. Yummy!

These guys have a surprisingly extensive Vegan menu with a lot of Seitan offerings. The vegan wings are pretty convincing! They are also one of the few 3am bars in the city and have been around forever.

If you're a meat eater, this place has some really interesting and deliciously spiced meats. We've only been here once but it was outstanding!
