This place is 12 min walk or 3 min drive from here. A take-out only place with no seating area but their tamales are so worth it. The masa or dough is not too thick but full of flavors with very generous and yummy filling. They are open Mon-Sat, 11:30am-5:30pm.

My go-to neighborhood coffee spot. They make pretty latte art too. They have a good selection of sweet goodies to go with your coffee. Savory food is limited; they have breakfast muffins but you have to heat them up yourself. I love the neighborhood vibe here so you get a good mix of people reading their books, drawing, and chatting with friends, rather than just rows and rows of people sitting with their laptops.

Just 11 min walk or 3 min drive to the largest urban winery on the west coast. Charles Smith has received Winemaker of the Year twice so he is kinda a big deal. I do enjoy his wines very much. He makes tasty $12 bottles of wine as well as the expensive stuff. Wine tasting is open everyday from 10am-6pm.

Fran has been making handmade chocolates in Seattle for over 35 years. How lucky are we that Fran's chocolate factory is only 15 min walk or 3 min drive. They are open Mon-Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 11am-5pm. They have a $10 guided tasting experience during Monday to Friday only (weekends are unguided). I recently joined the experience and it was time and money well spent. The cost is for the chocolates you will taste and they are very generous with it. Having the host to give you a little tour of the space (not inside the factory) makes all the difference. The experience I went to lasted for an hour.

Delicious all-day breakfast with bottom-less coffee to get you started as early as 6am. And as late as 11pm or 2am! Square Knot Diner is by far my favorite, non-pretentious, old-style diner in all of Seattle, not just in Georgetown. No wait time usually, at least for the many times I have been here. The servers are all so nice and would make anyone feel welcome. You won’t regret paying extra for their onion rings with your sandwiches too. I can’t recommend this more. Trivia: In case you are an Ed Sheeran’s fan, this is the diner in the “Shape of You” mtv.

For a lazy, no-cooking simple night-in with friends or proper me-time with a book or movie, Maruta is my favorite place for a proper bento box or to-go sushi. They taste exactly the same as the ones I have had in Japan. If you love a bargain, show up at 5pm sharp and grab a bento box or sushi box at 50% off.

Crowned one of the oldest public houses in Seattle, Jules Maes Saloon is a legitimate historic spot to grab a drink and/or pub snacks any time of the day. Food quality is surprisingly good too. A must-do whenever you are in Georgetown.

A quirky tavern serving Nashville-style hot chicken that is nicely battered and fried. Choose from "naked (lil bit), medium (Seattle hot), hot (Nashville hot), and insane". I have only tried medium and it's spicy! Simple menu with southern-inspired starters, sides, sandwiches, and salad. They have beers by the cans, cocktails, and wine too. Remember to try their fried cotija corn.
