Sightseeing

This is a beautiful beach and old church which has an interesting history as a stop off point on an old pilgrimage route to St David's. The beach is sandy, sheltered and attracts swimmers. It's situated on the national coastal path. It's a good place to watch for dolphins leaping!

Wonderful beach with sandy coves and magnificent rock formations. The village has pubs and an ice cream parlour on the front. You can park for free in a car park on the left just beyond the village entry sign. There's a great walk to Dinas Lochtyn, an iron age fort and little peninsula which is approximately 30 minutes north on the coastal path.

This is part of a lovely walk that takes in the Teifi river, the gorge, wetlands and woods. This section is between the old bridge and the gorge where the old quarries were. It's flat, there's an off shoot of a circular path where you can stop off in bird hides and see all sorts - including buffalo from Easter to September. There's a very good cafe with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. You can hire canoes from here too.

I love this place! This burial chamber is nestled in the sacred landscape of the Preseli's. You can take in Carn Ingli and Ty Canol woods from here. It's a beautiful place to share some contemplative moments. You can park less than a minutes walk away from this and yet feel a world away.

Mysterious and ancient Carn Ingli is shrouded in myth and legend. There are several Iron Age hill forts there. Although this hill is only 346 metres above sea level it's a special landmark on the horizon and forms a key part of the Preseli Ring and the famous Golden Road.

There are plenty of dolphin watching companies based in the area. I don't want to promote any in particular. But you can see dolphins from the coastal path too quite regularly!
