If you are interested in Takoma neighborhood, Republic is a must visit. As the rest of Takoma, the atmosphere is casual, with some live music if you are lucky.

This is our date night place. Budget is on the high end but the food and atmosphere makes it worth it.
It is easily full especially on weekend nights, however their patio is on a first come first serve basis and offers a lot of sitting.

Takoma is not the first place you will be told to check when coming to DC, however it is one of my favorite and happens to be not too far from here. Don’t expect much, it is a small area but the few boutiques and atmosphere makes it a cute village on its own. I added some places to drink and eat there.
