Ernie Maxwell Trail or Devil's Slide Trail are both favorites for first time visitors to Idyllwild. The first noted trail is easier and does NOT require a hiking permit, and the second is more advanced with steeper climb, hiking permit required. Both offer beautiful and breathtaking views. Park at Humber Park lot for each trail head and borrow our Adventure Pass for FREE parking.
