There is a cute gift store with sandwiches ice cream & drinks. There are sometimes movies, festivals & dances & often wedding parties there. It's definitely worth a short visit.

Great for weekend brunch with music
Inexpensive southern food. Pages Okra Grill in Mt Pleasant has lots of outdoor seating but often a long wait for seating. You can get a self made mimosa or bloody mary while you wait. If you can't handle the wait, walk to Shem Creek Restaurant 2 blocks away, also nice and on the creek dock.
