Koh Kret Island, Bangkok’s secret ancient island Once you reach the Temple’s Pier you will be queuing up for a quick 1 minute boat ride to the island costing you only 2baht. You will cross the Lat Kret River and reach Koh Kret Island and immediately see local coffee shops & small food vendors - This is a relaxing place to drink coffee and see the stunning view of the Chao Phraya River. You can also pick up a Local boat tour ticket to take you around the island for 60baht On the Island Push Bikes are available and advisable to rent for 40baht as the island is bigger than it seems! Local vendors supply them. Koh Kret is a rural island with rich history, culture and food. You will see fried vegetables, flowers and seafood. And for dessert there are many traditional Thai sweets available. Meet Artisans from who specialize in clay pots made from the earth. You can observe pottery created & undertaken in the old ways – representing styles and traditions handed down from ancient island dwellers. And as a bonus you can even make your own pottery with a professional guiding you & take it home. Prices are around 50-300baht for pottery. There are many Temples to visit as you navigate – and if you’re lucky a very important big Buddha can be spotted from the island. You can feed the fish for only 10baht. Before you leave don’t forget to visit the souvenir shops, there are so many things to shop in Koh Kret! The island has many environmentally friendly products, which supports the locals
