It's always 68 degrees in the caverns, which is perfect in the Texas heat! Also check out the towers and other facilities constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (C.C.C.) in the 1930s. There are also great hikes and views. Lots of stairs & climbing. Check out the scenic overlook near Park Road 4 and FM1980 for expansive views.

The Slab
Park on the side of the road and enjoy the Llano River!
Watch out for cars as well as other people swimming, floating, or sitting in their submerged camping chairs. It is a neat experience that is free.
*No glass*, but you can bring aluminum cans. Please take your trash with you (there should be small bags at the house). Note there are no bathrooms.
This is a great community swimming pool! I believe it is $3/person, and they have the kiddos take a swimming test in order to swim in deeper parts of the pool. There's a separate kiddie pool, and there are both a diving board and a slide in the deep end of the big pool. The swimming pool is in a great park for all ages.
There is also LakeLBJ access near the swimming pool, but swim at your own risk.

This one a new HEB, and has almost everything you need for your stay...and more! Their prices are great, as well as their prepared meals :) They have curbside delivery too!
