There is so much to relax and enjoy right in the Sailhouse Community. Our favorite is that you can fish, play in the sand on the the private beach, take in the bay views, bird watch, or splash in the pool all with in our Sailhouse community and just a short walk from the beach house. So much to enjoy without ever getting in a car.
Great way to start your day. Take a stroll with your morning coffee down to the Sailhouse Community private beach. And sit and sip while you take in the beautiful view of the Aransas Bay

Great way to spend an afternoon exploring the shops of South Austin Street. The street is lined with souvenir shops and boutiques. Some of my favorites stops include Mermaid Ranch and the Winery on the Bay for some wine tasting.

Nothing fancy about this aquarium, but its a neat little spot to take a break from the heat and get an up close look at some local sea life. Last I visited, admission was 'donation appreciated'

For those that love history. Cool museum that includes both the house and another building sharing the history of the area. You can tour a couple of floors of the home filled with antique furniture depicting what life must have been like then. Good way to make your visit feel a little educational too.

Great seafood restaurant overlooking the boats docked in Fulton Harbor. They offer a self serve soup & salad bar as well as a great selection of seafood dishes and a full bar. Great spot for dinner to watch the sun set on there upstairs patio

While we are an easy drive to Walmart or HEB grocery store for anything you might need. I love to order groceries from HEB and schedule them for delivery when we are expected to arrive, so the house is stocked with everyone's favorites as soon as we arrive and the vacation begins.

With our location off Fulton Beach Road and our proximity to Fulton Beach Marina, a golf cart is a fun way to get around. While our home doesn't come with a golf cart, you can easily rent one and park it in the garage. RockportAdventures.com offers cart rentals

RockportAdventures.com offers whooping crane tours in the winter and spring rookery tours as well as a sunset boat cruise all right out of Fulton Marina You can check out there website or give them a call at 877-982-4737 for more details. They also offer paddle board and kayak rentals.

Life in Rockport is very laid back and relaxed. No need for fancy clothes here. If you need fishing gear or apparel Tackle Town located on the main I35 is a great spot.

If your looking for a playground right on the beach, Rockport beach offers a couple of options. This beach also offers amenities like shaded palapas, covered picnic tables and barbques. And the restrooms are fairly well maintained.
