The Three Rivers Historical Society has been collecting information and artifacts about the Three Rivers area for over twenty years. You will know you’re at the museum when you see the impressive statue of Paul Bunyan carved from a single fallen sequoia tree by Carroll Barnes, a local artist many years ago, now deceased.

Hiking & Mountain Biking – There is a beautiful and an excellent single track mountain biking & hiking area just minutes from here. Take Sierra Drive (hwy 198) to Skyline Drive (look for Memorial Building). Take a left onto Skyline Drive and follow it up approx. 1.5 miles where it will end at a gate. This is the start of the Case Mountain Recreation Area on BLM land. You can always check it out on YouTube! It’s absolutely beautiful in the spring. If you’re here in the summer, you will want to start your ride/hike early in the morning as it does get very hot here. Be sure to bring water. If you happen to be here with your horses, this is the best place to ride in Three Rivers!!

Stop by and get a few tacos for lunch. Can't beat the fresh flavors. And you only have to walk next door for dessert. Grab a yogurt, sit outside over the river and enjoy the food.

Be prepared for weather changes in Park

Sequoia National Park is a beautiful place to visit. The weather in the park can change quickly so be prepared when you are heading up there. Always check the weather in the Park before leaving Three Rivers. I suggest to always bring a sweatshirt, sweater or rain jacket. It can be quite a bit cooler than Three Rivers, which in the summer can be very hot, up to and over 100+ degrees Fahrenheit.
