The Kennecott Copper Mine can be seen from anywhere in the Salt Lake City valley. You can drive up Butterfield Canyon and stand on the ridge above the mine. It has spectacular views from above the mine and of the city. AWESOME AT SUNSET!

Park City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics and they still utilize all of the ski jumps, luge and other parts of each venue. There is an alpine slide, mountain roller coaster, zip lines, you can ride a tube down the main "Huge" ski jump and they also let you try the luge track. If its summer time and you can catch them at the right time, you can see the ski jumpers coming down the ski jump and land in the pool below.
Park City itself has many main street bars, restaurants, art museums, whiskey and beer breweries. They host the Sundance Film Festival (highly recommended) every year in January. 1 hour drive from my house.

We are a 10 minute drive from the Trax Train Station that will take you directly downtown (FYI: Last train leaves SLC 11:30pm - bars close at 1:30am).
