Koh Larn is a Thai island located directly off the coast of Pattaya. It takes 30 minutes by ferry to cross over to Koh Larn from the Pattaya Port ferry pier.
Due to being the closest island to Bangkok, Koh Larn is very popular with people making days trips to the island from Pattaya and from Bangkok. Each day several thousand people visit the island.
The day trippers start arriving onto Koh Larn mid morning and the island is packed by lunchtime. Then around 4.30pm everyone starts leaving the island and by 6pm the island becomes a tranquil, quiet place to stay.
There is no nightlife on the island, making it a stark contrast to the busy nightlife of Pattaya.
There are some hotels and basic accommodation on Koh Larn.
