Ehalkivi, which is under nature convservation, is located near the shore, in low seawater. The boulder is 7.6 m high, 49 m wide, and its volume is 930 m3. Ehalkivi is the boulder with the largest exposed surface in Estonia, and also the biggest boulder in Northern Europe. The name of the boulder comes from the fact that when the sun sets in the evening, it disappears completely behind the boulder. Depending on the weather, accessing the boulders may be difficult.

In the summer of 2020, a spectacular open-air centre on nearly seven hectares was completed in Vallimägi, Rakvere. The unique performance venue created between the slopes of Vallimägi upland has a main stage area with 4,200 seats and a forum stage with 800 seats. Valaste Waterfall, located on the Ontika limestone cliff, is more than 30 m high, making it the highest waterfall in Estonia. The waterfall can be admired from the side as well, which offers a lovely view of the layers formed in 400,000 million years. The waterfall is most exciting in spring and during floods. Valaste is most spectacular in winter, when northern winds blow from the sea, creating ice sculptures on the trees on the limestone cliffs with water splashes.

Vasta Manor, not far from Viru-Nigula, was first mentioned in 1398. The main building we see today is thought to have been constructed around 1770 during Carl Ludwig von Ritter's time. Until 1919 it belonged to Reinhold von Winkler. Renovations have been ongoing at the manor since 1998. Today it is home to Vasta School. It can be viewed from the outside at any time, while the interior can be explored in summer as part of the Forgotten Manors game. Did you know...? *The building on the drive leading to the heart of the manor is where national epic 'Kalevipoeg' creator Friedrich Reinhold Kreutzwald held his wedding reception after marrying Marie Elisabeth Saedler in 1833

The convent gates are open and you can walk around and observe convent life. The ruins of St. Mary's Chapel, first constructed in the 13th century, are located in Viru-Nigula. It is thought that the chapel was built to celebrate victory over the Russians by the Livonian Order in the battle of 1268. After the Lutheran reformation the chapel fell into disuse and became a focal point for folk superstition, which led to its partial demolition in the mid-17th century and its later collapse. The ruins that remain today remind us how unique the chapel was in terms of the differences in its construction from the other chapels of the time influenced by the East. The chapel is thought to be the oldest stone sacral structure in this region of Estonia.

Lammasmägi hill, not far from Kunda manor, is one of the oldest sites of human settlement in Estonia. Its archaeological value was first discovered in 1872, and since then more than 25,000 tools made from bone have been found on digs in the area. Since similar tools were later uncovered elsewhere, this Mesolithic culture was named after the original and most abundant site – the Kunda culture.
