Hiking and walking trails
All my favorites are here!! I recommend using the AllTrails app for accurate maps. If you choose to pay the annual fee of $30, you can even download trail maps for offline navigation.

Must be gorgeous! There is a lower loop and an upper loop that connect like a figure 8. Each loop is less than 2 miles. I recommend taking your camera and a few snacks so that you can stop for a bit and marvel at nature.
Only 40-minute drive from the cabin :) Explore two waterfalls along a scenic creek on the Turtletown Creek Falls trail. Located in the Cherokee National Forest in Tennessee, this is a must hike for any skill level.

Ocoee River is just a 30-40 minute drive from the cabin headed west on 64. You can drive for miles following it for more gorgeous views. If you keep going you can check out Chattanooga which is a 2-hour drive from Forest Therapy.

Ingles and Starbucks located together! This is the main grocery store for western North Carolina. They have more than just food though...you'll find some items that you may find at Walmart as well like household items. Bonus for the Ingles is that it does have Starbucks and of course, free WiFi :)
Story behind the dog...early on I saw this dog in this car parked at Ingles. I took a picture and posted on my Facebook page saying, "what do you think this dog is saying or thinking?" I got hundreds of likes and comments that were so funny. I decided to make him the mascot of this Ingles :)

My husband and I stopped by here to look at the furniture and were blown away! Amazing work by these artisan woodworkers. All furniture is Amish made in solid wood. I also loved the small, decorative items and artwork. This is a great place to walk around...like an art gallery.

We went for pizza at Hoppy Trout in downtown Andrews and then went for a little walk. When we stumbled on Dean's shop...we were amazed! I've never seen anything like this store. Dean has owned it for 28 years now and you can tell he takes great pride in his passion of books, music and art.

The campus features a variety of easy nature trails, including the Rivercane Walk, a quarter-mile creekside loop trail with sculptures from area artists honoring the local Cherokee heritage. Visitors are welcome to explore the grounds during daylight hours, check out the Craft Shop, peek in at the classes in session, and stroll the nature trails.
