This is a great hiking trail, also has some climbs for rock climbers. It is an uphill hike in a western facing canyon in the foothills of the mountains. It is pretty shady in the winters, and the hill down into the canyon can be icy & is usually snow covered. There is also a ridge hike from here, if you cross the water once you are in the canyon and then head up (east), which is in the sunshine. It's a beautiful canyon, I go all year, but have no photos of the wintertime. It is a more popular canyon, and parking on the weekends can be tricky. Rattlesnakes do live here, and are out in the warmer months, as early as April.

I hike here very often in the winter, especially an hour before sunset. This hike is in between Ferguson & Deaf Smith Canyons. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
8100 Top of the World DrThere is a gate just to the south of this church that leads to a very steep, very sunny hike. It's great for a quick cardio workout & has great views at the top. I hike here very often in the winter, especially an hour before sunset. This hike is in between Ferguson & Deaf Smith Canyons. This is also a good place to bring a sled if you want to take some shorter rides. Very steep hills.

This is the best sushi place in the city, the best restaurant in the city. If you are not waiting in line at their door before opening, you will be waiting for at least an hour. If you have a group of 6 or more, you can make a reservation, which is easiest.

I love the zoo, and they have events all year. This is great place for kids. It's not too big, which can be overwhelming. It also has a place for little ones to play, a train ride to take, and kids can feed the giraffes if they go at the right time. More photos to come.
