Well worth a visit to Dunnottar Castle, it's an amazing site to see, perched on the top of the rocks. The area can be a little tricky to navigate in flip flops...so be sure to have sensible shoes on for walking down to the Castle!

Local Neighbourhood - Contlaw Road
The Cottage is situated on Contlaw Road. There are beautiful walks and cycle routes all around it, well worth taking a stroll in the day, or to watch the amazing sunsets in the evening...they never fail to amaze!
This is Contlaw Road, just 2 mins up from the Cottage. The views are wonderful, peaceful and well worth taking in. There are also great cycles tracks around the area for the more adventurous!

There is a good bus service into Aberdeen
The number 19, 202, and 203 buses pass the bottom of Contlaw Road frequently. They will all take you to the centre of Aberdeen, and the 202, 203 will also take you to Ballater.
