Beautiful day drive- mountains, rivers and wildlife-the best of Alaska. You can pay a fee and drive up to head of the glacier and hike from there. Walk on a glacier while in Alaska. Recommend to wear sturdy shoes with good tread (not tennis shoes) expect some glacial mud. Take water, snacks, sunglasses and sunscreen. Trail is well marked.

You can see great views of Pioneer Peak if you access this system off Matanuska Lake or Kin-Win Trailhead. Lakes and lots of wildlife.
Winter activities include groomed cross country ski and fat tire mountain bike trails. Ski chalet and large parking area. Summer activities include hiking / biking trails for all levels. Beautiful views !

Great place to visit to get some up close time with reindeer, moose, more alpacas and other farm critters. Located on Bodenberg Loop it's beautiful farm land with amazing views of the mountains. The "Butte" is a part of this property and nearby are two trailheads for a great day hike to truly see the Valley with a panoramic view.
