Food scene

Marianne and her family raise Holstein cattle and they sell all kinds of lovely dairy products in their farm store. Their chocolate milk is stellar. You can get a homemade ice cream cookie sandwich from their dairy bar in the summer and they stock a wide variety of products from other farms as well.

Friendly farm community with a slower pace

Folks around these parts are used to polite conversation during even simple business transactions. They are proud of their community and are happy to recommend places to visit, especially other farms and restaurants. Don't be shy if people ask where you are from- they will delight in making you feel like a local. Not all farms are open to the public and it is not appropriate to drive on fields or pet animals or picnic on someone's land without permission. Many farms are open to the public and welcome visitors to do just that.
