Fort IV West (German. Westbatterie, originally Batterie A, in 1939-45 Fort Henningsen[1]) - A fort of the Prussian Swinoujscie Fortress, built between 1856-1861, intended to defend the harbour against enemy ships.
Worth seeing:
The defensive gate, to which a causeway once led. In the walls of the gate there are shooting holes for small arms.
A square redoubt - the oldest part of the fort - now used as a museum of the fortress history.
An underground communication corridor with halls of former ammunition chambers and storage rooms. Round holes of 19th century ammunition elevators are visible in the foot of the corridor.
Artillery shelters from the second half of the 19th century under the central rampart and on the wings of the terrace.
Concrete command shelter for the "Henningsen" battery with staff rooms and optical rangefinder station.

Kawcza Góra is located on the island of Wolin, within the Wolin National Park. It is located in Międzyzdroje in the county of Kamieński. It is located approx. 0.6 km east of the town buildings. There is a black trail leading to it along the Promenade of Stars through the decorative gate of the Wolinski National Park. It is a vertically placed bow of a fishing boat. Further on the trail leads through the forest to the top of the hill. You can also climb Kawcza Góra from the beach. There are stairs that lead to an observation point.
