Sharky's on the pier in Venice due to its locale on the beach and closest to our home offers fine dining (Fin's upstairs), casual dining on the beach in and out, and a tiki-bar option as well. We usually go for the sunset then eat at the bar or a table facing the water near the bar area. Try the elevated observation deck overlooking the pier/ocean. We suggest the spicy seafood nachos--a meal for two actually. The fish tacos are very good as well. Friendly service, festive atmosphere and a must see/do for the Venice area.

Leave the parking lot and take a left, then your next left. Follow this all the way back to North Jetty. Pass million dollar dream homes, beautiful ride by day and night.
Off the water choice is Owen's fish Camp located in downtown Sarasota. Funky place that is "old Florida style" that has a great outdoor courtyard where you can actually order from the window instead of waiting for a table. A must if you visit Sarasota.

The Salty Dog (new addition to my list), is just down the road off 41. Take a right on 41 off Shamrock and take a left onto 41 bypass towards Sharky's. just after the bridge, you will see a marina. The restaurant is over looking the marina. Park in back. There is a beautiful deck area out back. Wraps are good here. Their other location is in Sarasota across the street from Mote Aquarium. It is on the Sarasota bay and has a spectacular view of the bridge and bay.
