Sightseeing
This is the #1 reason most travellers come to Hahei, so if it's not on your to do list, we highly recommend. Head up the driveway and turn right, you'll reach the carpark at the top and follow the signs from there. A medium level of fitness will be needed to walk it, or you can head down to the beach and get a short ferry ride to the Cove (currently costs $20 each way) Take your togs for a swim and maybe a picnic, make a day of it!

A trip to this area needs to include a short 10 minute drive to Hot Water Beach to experience hot water coming out of the sand! Best time is low tide and take a spade to dig a hole - we have a couple in the garage, please feel free to borrow.

Food scene
If you want a really nice meal you can't go past this restaurant. It's in an old church and it has some of the best food we have tasted. We go here at least once a visit and always take our friends here. Found on your right as you came into the Hahei village.

Another great place to dine or have a drink. Has a more casual dining experience, take the kids, lovely garden area, great beer or cider on tap that's made on site.
