Small town diner vibes with great food. I’m not normally a breakfast person but my husband is, he convinced me to go by showing me all the lunch options. He had a large breakfast and I got an amazing chicken Greek salad.

Walking distance from the Hammock House. We go for the 1/2 price fajitas on Tuesdays. Otherwise I think it’s a touch over priced. We do love the outdoor seating option on a beautiful day.

Beaches

We love Wrightsville beach (if we can find parking). The water is gorgeous on sunny days. It can be hard to get on and off the island but once you are on the beach it’s worth it

My favorite beach with a laid back vibe! Take a walk on the vintage boardwalk lined with vibrant buildings, pizza, britts donuts, ice cream stands and an arcade. Explore the town by renting bikes or hike a scenic white-sand trail at Carolina Beach State Park that leads to a gorgeous overlook of the Cape Fear River. Cast a line on an offshore fishing charter. Hit the surf for stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, or ride the waves on a float or surfboard. Take the family for a picnic at Carolina Beach Lake or attend a beach music or seafood festival.

Compared to Wrightsville and Carolina Beach - Kure Beach (Pronounced CURE-EE) is much less crowded and easier to park. A small-town beach home to the oldest fishing pier on the Atlantic Coast, an oceanfront park, a nearby state aquarium and historic fort and beautiful seaside surroundings.

PRIVATE* Figure Eight Island is a barrier island in the U.S. state of North Carolina, just north of Wrightsville Beach, widely known as an affluent summer colony and vacation destination. The island is part of the Wilmington Metropolitan Area, and lies between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. As a private island, Figure Eight can only be reached by boat or via a guarded causeway swing bridge—the only private bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway in the Southeast. Nicknamed "The Hamptons of the South", the island has been a destination for celebrities and politicians—including former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and Senator John Edwards—and a summer residence for noted businessmen, including John J. Mack and William Johnston Armfield.
