Hot Springs
Pagosa Springs is home to the worlds deepest geothermal hot springs! These waters contain 13 minerals including potassium, magnesium, zinc, lithium, iron and manganese, all of which are proven to promote healthy skin, lower blood pressure, strengthen bones and muscles and increase energy. When the Southern Ute Indian tribe discovered the waters bubbling forth from the Mother Spring hundreds of years ago, they named it Pagosa - from the Ute word meaning “healing waters.”

From our rooftop tubs you’ll enjoy views of the San Juan River through Pagosa Springs and the San Juan mountains to the East. These are some of the many trails off of Blanco Basin Road (aka CR 326). Please research trails before going to ensure you are fully prepared and are hiking during the appropriate season/weather. 'All Trails' is a great research tool and has more info and reviews on these trails (and more!) off Blanco Basin Road.
Opal Lake Trail is a 2.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options. Dogs are also able to use this trail. Elevation gain 488ft.
