Watkins Glen is a must see if you are in the area. It is about an hour from the Hideaway. The gorge and waterfalls are like no other. There is a state park there and you can enter the gorge trails from either the top or the bottom depending on whether you'd like to do the hard hike first! Tip: Jerlando's is an italian restaurant in town that is absolutely amazing. And you deserve a great meal after that hike!

Stony Brook State Park is another must see for waterfalls and gorges. The views are spectacular and the waterfalls are absolutely serene! In the summer time, you can actually walk inside the gorge. This state park is only 24 miles from the Hideaway!
