It's one of the greatest beaches in Greece. You can reach it on foot (I would do it only for photos. I dit go on Balos on foot once, but with sun over us, was a bit tiring.) or by ship (taking it from Kissamos).

Paliochora's beaches are my favourites. Has plenty of choices. Volakas, Grammeno, Gianiskari (the best for me). If you have plenty of time in Chania, don't miss to visit Paliochora!

A well hidden beach the previous years. The latest 10 years is one of the most famous beaches in Chania. Keep good shoes with you (athletics), as the downhill is a bit dangerous and difficult.
During July and August (especially August) is really crowded. Visit it really early in the morning and don't forget your sun protection!

This majestuous gorge is considered one of the great attractions of Crete and many tourists want to visit it. But you must realise that it is a long (5 to 7 hours) walk on rough terrain so you will need to have a certain degree of fitness and walking experience in order to enjoy it.
