Located on the village’s outskirts, Elliotts is the definition of a hidden gem. The eclectic menu choices reflect the chef’s use of a unique combination of local ingredients to create fabulous fare. You must try the Jack Daniels & Chipotle Glazed Salmon, a staple on the menu since they opened over 20 years ago. This fish is so fresh; it is flown in every 72 days from the Faroe Islands. This chef-owned restaurant is just one of many that Mark Elliott owns in the area. Just next-door, you will find Elliotts Provisions Co., an old-style deli that is open for lunch and stocks an assortment of wine, cheese, and prepared meals to-go.

Pinehurst Brewing Company occupies what was the original steam plant that powered the Village of Pinehurst in 1895. Beautifully restored, the brewery perfectly captures the industrial chic feel. The new operation recruited Eric Mitchell, former head brewer of Heist Brewery in Charlotte, where he won numerous industry awards. “The beers are excellent and each one was impressive in its niche, but the standout that really wowed me was the Malvavisco, an imperial stout rested on Madagascar vanilla beans that is rich and creamy with a velvety texture," according to Larry Olmsted in a recent USA Today article. Definitely worth the visit!

After an extensive restoration by Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw, the course has returned to the way Ross originally intended. Pinehurst's iconic Putter Boy

They’ve stood sentinel over the practice putting greens at Pinehurst for decades. They’ve traveled the world on the shirts and caps of golfers. They’ve lured guests to Pinehurst from the pages of newspapers and magazines for a century. And they’ve been the centerpieces of handsome marks for Pinehurst’s chapters in the U.S. Open. “The Golf Lad” and his offspring pal, “The Putter Boy,” are certainly among the most famous inanimate figures in the game of golf.
